Announcing the departure of Robert Campbell
Today, we’d like to announce that Dev Team member and for many years leading developer, Robert Campbell has decided that it is time to take a step back. Thus, Robert has resigned his membership of the CMSMS Dev Team whilst remaining fully involved with the CMSMS Foundation and continuing to develop his excellent suite of third party modules.

Robert, Calguy to many, has been an integral part of the Dev team since the early days of CMS Made Simple and we will be sorry to see him go. We wish him all the luck in the world with the new projects that he is planning to devote more time to and will be looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Robert’s work has been in the heart of CMS Made Simple. His uncompromising view of where CMSMS has needed to go led to many innovations and decisions that make the system what it is today. Always with an eye on the future and a drive to make CMSMS much more than a simple content management tool, it is without doubt his influence that’s made CMSMS the application framework it is today. With the foundation that he has helped craft, we look forward to continuing making CMS Made Simple the ideal tool for web developers to create projects, from intelligent brochure sites all the way up to enterprise level applications.
Never one to shy away from a strongly held opinion, Rob has presented his fellow Devs with the opportunity for healthy debate, always with a central passion for the software and making it as good as it can be. And we will all hold a wry smile on the Dev Team, when we think of the times that a community member has tried Rob’s patience, asking questions without doing the research first.
And with his suite of third-party modules, it is fair to say that he has probably put food on the table for hundreds of developers worldwide. So many have used his solutions in their own clients’ websites. We are delighted that Rob has every intention of staying in the community and is looking forward to the additional time he will have to spend on his own modules.
So, from all the community Rob, we thank you for your outstanding contribution. And from many of us who have served with you on the Dev Team for a number of years, we also thank you for the friendship. Being part of this Dev Team has always felt like being part of a family and you are still considered a very important member.
